Im gonna be a drummer in a band and I have a set of drums at my dads, and I only go there every other weekend. I get like no practice in and feel useless I want to practice more, but my mom wont let me bring the drums here because she hates the noise. What can I do? Good songs to play on drums for audition?
i'm auditioning for this band program thingy in a week, and i need to play through 2 whole songs. they need to be different styles. i'm thinking i'll play Basket Case for one of my songs because it's fun and i love the song. i just don't know what other song i could play. i guess it has to be slower than that, maybe bluesy or something. i guess an oldie would be good. if you have any suggestions, i'd really appreciate your answer. thanks

I listen to the songs and it has really guitar riffing that sound and I usually don't pay attention to the drums, but when I started learning the guitar, the riffs kind of sound a little boring and I wondered what the hell? but then I made a guitar riff and it sounded a little boring, then I found a drummer and we were just playing together and that riff really sounded cool with the drums. So I'm curious.

Question on electronic drum set?
I'm looking at these drums on a site, to start learning drums, and it says they have a dual trigger snare pad does that mean they have more than a one sound range? I mean, if you hit the rim, does it sound like you're hitting the rim, or like some kits just sounds the same as if you hit the centre? Thanks
