Should I get a guitar or drums?
Well, my friend wants to start a band and I want to get a guitar but I also want drums. I know itll take a while before we get good enough to actually start the band but we need something to do, especially since I do not play any sports. Im more of the artsy type. I just have no idea though. Also, she also already has a guitar so Im leaning towards drums, but we know a drummer too. So either way... Q1 What kind of birthday party should I have? I need to have it next week cause my birthday was forever ago but my friends still want me to have one, soo... Q2 What do you think our band name should be?? Ive already written some songs so we are definately doing this

Should i quit drum lessons?
I have been taking drum lessons for 11 months, my first teacher was a drummer but he moved cause of his job now i have a teacher who has been teaching me for about 6 months after the old teacher but he has me working on a snare book i have been on first 4 pages for like 5 months.i finnaly got the curage to ask him if i can just do drumset because i got it 1 month before old teacher moved and he said dont worry you need to learn this book to be a good drummer so i said ok.. But it would take years to finish the book and get on the dusty bran new drumset i bearly ever use cause he says i shouldnt play drums yet. Idk what to do..?? And i am sick of the practice pad
Buying Cymbals for Drum Set?
I have a Gammon drum set that I got for christmas. It came with a set of 1 crash and 2 hi hat cymbals that sound like they are made out of plastic. Is there a set of cheap cymbals out there that sound decent? I am 18 and have a minimal budget for drumset stuff sooo yeah.
Idea for a home made drum set.?
I had an idea for a drum set one day in music class. Would I be able to make a set of drums where instead of using plastic for the toms and bass drums I could instead swap it for a really thin type of sheet metal? Same idea for the snare drum, swap the cow hide for the sheet metal. If it is theoretically possible, what type of sheet metal would be suitable for this? I was also thinking about taking cymbals and plating them with silver for the extra ting. Are my ideas possible?
Good beginner drum kit?
I'm going to learn how to play the drums, and I want to get a beginner drum kit. Do I need a 5 piece kit, or is this not necessary? What is a good beginner kit? It doesn't necessarily have to be good quality, just nothing too bad. Until I decide on a drum kit, how can I practice the drums? Thanks
How Long Will It Take For Me To Learn To Play The Drums?
So, I'm in grade 8, going to grade nine next year and I was wondering how long it would take me to learn to play the drums, my friend learned to play the guitar from grade 6 8 and now is starting her own band, and I was thinking that I don't want to be going into college when I start my band, so will the instructor put a rush on my because of my age? I take dance and I'm good at rhythm, so how long approx? THNX in advance
PLEASE HELP!! What drum machine/sampler would you recommend?
I am looking for a drum machine with quality sounding drums effects. Small, portable and easy to use. I want to use it for building beats, and jamming along with on guitar. I looked at the alesis SR18, and was fairly impressed. But idk how if i can export music from it. The Roland Dr.880 looks pretty cool, but it's more expensive. The Akai XR20 is closer to my price range, but it seems like it has very limited effects. I want something I can export onto my computer. Perhaps there is a product I have overlooked. Please Help.
