I need help with tuning my tom drum heads.?
I brought a JINBAO drums, I like it, but it's 5 lugs only. But the thing is, the heads sound horrible or maybe it's just my way of tuning it. It sounds so low and ringy, and as much as I watch tutorials and everything, it just doesn't sound nice. What would you recommend? It's only a starter drum and my parents believe I don't need new heads, because it works, that it should be fine, it's not fine, when I play by ear and the sounds don't sound anything the same.
How much are drum heads?
I want to buy good quality drum heads, because these jinbao coated drum heads sound horrible and so low.
What bass drum heads should i choose?
I have a 10 year old " Peace" beginners drum kit and the bass heads have never been changed. The snare has an Evans Genera HD Dry on the batter and a Glass 500 on the resonant side. The toms have Evans EC2 Clear heads on the batter side but still the original heads on the resonant side I'm thinking of G1s, not sure .I like rock music if that helps. Anything to improve the sound of this old kit will be appreciated.

Hi there, i have bought a brand new Ludwig CS Accent Combo Drum kit white , i was thinking of getting an Evans G2 Coated Fusion Drum head pack, is this any good? im only planning on spending $60 most on drum heads. If i do get new drum heads, do i have to change the bottom drum heads to? or only the top? thanks

Its time for some new drum heads and I've been researching but most of them sound the same to me. I want something that sound nice and solid. The heads i have right now ring for ages after i hit them. I would like something that doesn't ring so much. Also another thing i saw was drum gum and was wondering if those help at all. Advice on which Evans drum heads to get?
I need to replace my drum heads and want to get Evans. But I'm not sure which heads to get Evans G1, G2 or ECS2, clear not coated. Has anyone ever tried any of these heads? If so which one would you recommend? I'm in a band that plays all types of songs, so I want the heads to sound good no matter what I'm playing. Thanks.

How do I better tune Emperor Black Suede drum heads?
I originally found this video on the Remo website that demo'd the Emperor Black Suede batter heads. I bought a whole set, having loved the sound they produced. I have spent well over two hours trying to get them to replicate that sound and it absolutely will not sound anything like the video. I'm either getting a flat thud of a sound, or a washy resonant sound... I cant get it to get that fat wet sound they produce in the video. If I want to change my drum heads, do I have to change the bottoms along with the tops, or just the tops?

Help with buying a drum head for my boyfriend?
My boyfriend is a drummer, and recently his bass drum head got broken the one you kick, not the front . His family is a little tight on money, so I was going to buy him one. The problem is that his set has a 24' Pearl bass drum at least I think Pearl is the brand . The one he'd been wanting was a Remo, but the only one in town is a Rogers that's been slightly used. Now, I don't know a thing about drum heads, so could someone help me and tell me if the Rogers would be okay?If it helps, he plays rock metal with a lot of double bass pedal and he's not exactly gentle with it. But he also plays in our school jazz band.
