Electric or Acoustic drum kit?
I am really interested in learning how to play the drums, and all I really want is a cheap new or used drum kit to start learning on.I'm thinking about $300 I know this is extremely cheap, I just want to learn and see if I oils pursue this further so what type of kit would be better. I also live in the suburbs, so I'm not sure if sound would be a problem, especially since my mom probably would be against it.

I got a drum kit for christmas which was awesome. The only thing is, it doesn't sound right. I don't know if there is a way of tuning drums or whatever. But the only thing that sounds right is the bass drum. How do i fix this? I think the brand is Percussion.

Ok before we get this started if your just gonna bitch and say get a real drum kit don't...i live in a house which old pissed neighbors and my mum would just constantly throw furniture at me so no acoustic drums......ok here we go.....i looking for a electric drum kit .....i have been playing for about 3 4 years now and i am pretty decent......i need a kit where i can create my own kits......it must have an output where i can hook up an ipod mp3 to.......i had a session pro but those just sounds cheap and crap......also i need to be able to connect extra symbols toms and a double bass pedal so it should have extra outputs....i might use it for band performances so it should sound some what professional.....ok i am student and i have a budget of up to 450......any suggestions???

I have drum kit in my room and the noise travels through my house i don't want it to disturb my parents when i'm playing. I heard of the drum mute but i don't like how they sound. So is there anything that i an do to stop the noise from traveling.
