Are drum lessons worth the time and money?
to me it doesnt seem like theres much to learn in playing drums...its mostly just about how much you practice and how good ur drumming skills are isnt it?
Starting drum lessons...embarrassed, though!?
Hello So, I'm an 18 year old girl who has always had a fascination with drumming. I've finally decided to bite the bullet and set up lessons...the thing is, I'm worried about how lessons will go. Will the instructor judge me if I walk in with virtually no drum experience whatsoever? I know, I know. Stupid concerns...but I can't help but look at all of the little kids running around the shop who are very good drummers, and feel embarrassed. Haha. Any people with similar concerns? Or advice? Thanks
What should i do about drum lessons?
i love drums and i want to lern so bad. id like to eventually become one of the well known drummers like travis barker or the blue men group or something like that.i listen to alot of travis barkers remixes and stuff and i eventually want to be at least that good.but my problem is i dont know many people that could help me lern and im 14 so i cant pay for lessons, and my parents cant ether because i was also taking acting lessens and other stuff they have to pay like bills. I also need my drums tuned because they sound like crap, and i need some one to tell me what kind of symbols i need and but brands the best etc. i found i good website that teaches how to play drums, but i doesn't do the other stuff except teach you how to tune but i want to be tought in person or i wont know if i did it right.i know theres probably not much i can do but anyone have any advise?

How can I find a place to take drum lessons?
I have no clue how to find them. I live pretty far from any big cities. The nearest music shops are around 20 miles away and I have no clue who teaches drums. I don't have a driver's license, but will soon. I really want to learn drums.
What is a good drum lesson CD?
I'm looking for a drum lesson CD in the region of around 25 30. I have to be able to order it online, or a downloadable one. It also has to be for beginners Ive only had it since Christmas but holy c p its fun . One that aims for the sort of rock hardrock metal areas. And it has to be good and something that you'd recommend. And no promoting your own company for money sake Sorry to be so specific but I really want to learn at my own pace and a style that I enjoy. Damn it hate having to re post questions facepalm

My dad wont let me get drum lessons do you think this is fair?
I love music i sing and play piano I've had lessons for that the thing is i did y grade 1 and even though i passed with merit i decided not to do any more grades cause its so stress full I want to learn another instrument to get a bit more experience and i've always liked drums and i have a pretty good sense of rhythm. When i asked my dad this is what he said he said i could only get lessons if i start doing piano lessons again and grades i still play a lot just not formally I think this is really unfair I dont see why piano is more important than drums and i know its not because its to much because he said that if i did both he'd let me but i only want to do piano at home.
