How can I find a place to take drum lessons?
I have no clue how to find them. I live pretty far from any big cities. The nearest music shops are around 20 miles away and I have no clue who teaches drums. I don't have a driver's license, but will soon. I really want to learn drums.
My dad wont let me get drum lessons do you think this is fair?
I love music i sing and play piano I've had lessons for that the thing is i did y grade 1 and even though i passed with merit i decided not to do any more grades cause its so stress full I want to learn another instrument to get a bit more experience and i've always liked drums and i have a pretty good sense of rhythm. When i asked my dad this is what he said he said i could only get lessons if i start doing piano lessons again and grades i still play a lot just not formally I think this is really unfair I dont see why piano is more important than drums and i know its not because its to much because he said that if i did both he'd let me but i only want to do piano at home. I'm thinking of just saving up for a drum kit and teaching myself What do you think?Yeah and i'm his daughter his choice he didn't need to have me did he Oh and well done for getting 5 thumbs down troll PWow you people dont get it at ALL My dad isn't bovered about the money or any of that in fact he said he'd only get me drum lessons if i had piano lessons do and with the person you was treting my like a retard with the whole ti t for tat thing well trusy me thats not how it work and also he isn't bovered about the noice or money he's told m that yeah

Do you have to take drum lessons in order to be a famous drummer?
I have been playing drums for 2 years now, i love it but i havent been practicing alot such as everyday. I tried taking drum lessons , but i found it didn't work out for me, i felt like i was under pressure and i didn't learn much. i did a project on Mike Portnoy a year ago and found that he only took music theory classes in high school and university and never took drum lessons. So do you think you could become famous without going in drum lessons if you put your mind to it...even though you might not end up the best drummer

Hello So, I'm an 18 year old girl who has always had a fascination with drumming. I've finally decided to bite the bullet and set up lessons...the thing is, I'm worried about how lessons will go. Will the instructor judge me if I walk in with virtually no drum experience whatsoever? I know, I know. Stupid concerns...but I can't help but look at all of the little kids running around the shop who are very good drummers, and feel embarrassed. Haha. Any people with similar concerns? Or advice? Thanks
