I got a drum throne a couple of weeks, and whenever I play it, after a while, my right leg starts to cramp up and start to hurt. When I switch to a regular chair, it stops. Is this a normal thing when you first start using a drum throne? Is there anything I can do to help stop my leg from cramping?

I'm buying my boyfriend a drum throne for his birthday. He's currently just using a wooden stool right now, so I don't really have anything to base my purchase off of. He's not too tall, not really overweight. Plays rock music. I want something he'll like, that is comfortable, and that's under $100. I know thrones are expensive, but I'd like to not spend TOO much money, but I will if I have to. Any suggestions?

I find that most thrones have some wobble to them, the connection between the stand and the seat never seems to be a solid fit. I have a pretty nice dw throne, and it's almost right, but not quite. Is there any model that has is completely solid?
