Which would be easier, recording using drum triggers, or with an electronic drumset?

What are some popular rock songs that use drum triggers?
What are some popular rock songs that use drum triggers?I'm trying to get an ear for when it is appropriate to have that drum trigger sound in your music. Please don't suggest any metal songs since I already know the majority use triggers on their kicks, etc.I'm just talking standard rock punk rock music you hear on the radio.
Can anyone give me a short list of metal drummers who use drum triggers? thanks?
Ussage of drum triggers on acoustic drum kits?
I've got two kits atm, my " normal" drumset, and also a seperate, smaller kit that I would like to turn into an electronic effect kit. I've been looking at acoustic drum triggers Pintech acoustic drum trigger, DDrum red shot trigger, etc. , and wanted to know if these are the propper devices for my purposes.I have an electronic drum " brain" at the moment, but not the pads. I want to be able to trigger the drum sounds without having to buy $100 pads. Could I just put these triggers on, say, my mesh headed kit and use those as electronic pads? Or are they used for another purpose?
Help me with my drum triggers!?
I currently own a Tama Swingstar and recently purchased ZED mesh heads, Ddrum triggers and a Yamaha DTXpress 2 module to practice with. So I have put the heads on and attached the triggers alls well and good until I hit the skins and I keep getting multiple 'ghost' hits when I am playing. I have fiddled around with skins testing the tension and tightening loosening accordingly but I must confess I am a complete novice when it comes to triggers etc... Is there a way to set up your triggers so that you are getting the best from them? I've also noticed that my kick is a lot quieter than my snare, I dont know if there is anyone out there who knows about Yamaha DTXpress 2's and knows if you can adjust single triggers on their sensitivityEither way I need your help Thanks

Can double bass drum triggers help to manipulate speed?
Hi, I am 29 year old IT professional and I love to play covers off Fear Factory and Lamb of God. Unfortunately, I have never touched the drums and am not planning to go pro. I just want to play these songs for the love of it and am curious to know if triggers can help me play those fast double bass beats as desired.I know it would take me years to master that , but I have a family and cant invest much time on it. So,please help. Thanks and have a nice day.If triggers cant help with the speed, is there something else that would??

Which would be easier, recording using drum triggers, or sampling in sounds with drum mics?
I'm getting my brother set up with a recording studio home studio and was wondering which would be a better option. Either way, he wants to be able to convert the drum hits into midi so he can use drumagog to sample in better drum sounds. So would using logic's audio to midi and drum mics be easier, or would drum triggers to a module to midi be easier?
