Where (and what brand) can I buy a decent electric drum kit?
I'm not looking for top market, but not exactly bottom market either. Where can i buy some? Preferably online, because i am a college student and don't have a car to go pick it up. I hear roland is pretty good. I will be playing metal core, scream and post hardcore music.
Should I get an acoustic or electric drum set?
I am a guitar player. Keep that in mind, guitar is my main instrument, and it's something I excel at. That being said, I play bass and a little drums. I'm not a 'beginner' at playing drums, but I'm certainly not intermediate expert at it either. I can keep rhythm, play fills and crescendos, and some other basic stuff. I'm not Neil Peart or anything. Anyways, I want to purchase a drum set to play on, just because I like playing the drums. I would like to play double bass, because I wanna learn some Mike Portnoy Dream Theater and he uses it. Should I buy an acoustic or an electric? I'm leaning towards an electric, just because it's quieter, and more compact. Give me your thoughts though. My price range is $300 $500. If I got a crappy beginner set, Id prolly upgrade to ZBT's or something around Christmas.BQ Should a beginner learn single or double bass?

I dont know much about electric kits, i have to go to one because i moved to a place with a strong sound law. I play heavy so i need something durable with at least a decent quality sound with the options to add double bass and maybe a 3rd cymbal without completely emptying my bank lol. Any idea?

my daughter has an ION electric drum set sound session drums and she plays rock metal but cant get the sound right . Everything works fine , she just doesn't have like the right style i suppose you could say . she knows how to change the sound but isn't sure what to put it on . can someone help us out ?
