Well, I'm 14 15 in just a month And I've been playing guitar 3 1 2 years, and bass for 3 years. Lately, I've been wanting to learn how to play the drums too, but the thing is, acoustic drum kits are too loud and expensive I know they make suppresors for kits, but I also can't fit a huge acoustic kit in my froom, so that's definitely not an option for me I was thinking about an electronic drum kit instead since they have many customizable sounds, are more portable, and I can use some VSTi's for the sound. I was thinking about buying a Yamaha DD65, but it's 200 bucks, and i don't want to spend anymore than 100. Are there any MIDI electronic drum kits that you could put on your bed like the DD65 For under 100 dollars? If so, then please share. What is a good electronic drum kit metal cymbal?
Hey all, I've got an ok starter kit and brain ion drum rocker roadie upgrade kit and I'm not very happy with the DD 502 Hi Hat Cymbal Pad plastic rubbery feel...it really throws my rhythm off with the clack clack clacking and I'm looking to get something a bit more authentic. I've looked at Alesis Surge and Smarttrigger one and the same now?? but i'm unsure. Any insight into this fairly niche area on what's a good metal cymbal for electronic drums? I'd love to get something with a choke that is very responsive. B.B.

Been a drummer since I was 14 but since living in an apartment over the last 7 years I haven't played at all. I am looking to buy a drum kit that I can use in the apartment and not annoy the neighbors. I was looking on ebay for some, but the reviews for the various ones I saw were pretty bad. So, I'm not looking for anything spectacular, just something that works well and is relatively inexpensive.
