I'm 21 and want to learn the drums and bass, but have no idea who could teach me?
I don't care if it's a statement. You get a hint at what i'm trying to ask don't you?Sorry I came off as rude, I apologize, there's a lot of assholes on this site sometimes I don't know if people are just being jerks on purpose, sorry.
How hard is it to learn the drums?
I would really like to learn to play the drums. I play the trumpet and piano, so I know my rythms and beats. I always enjoyed drums and now I was wondering how hard it would be to play them.Also, could someone recommend a decent beginner's drum set?
How do I convince my parents to let me learn the drums?
I play guitar, and piano. And my parents are fine with those instruments, but now I want to learn the drums. But my mom always says, " It's too noisy Stick w the piano and guitar." And my dad says, " Yeah, right " I said to them, I would save up some money, but its not always a solid " Yes." So, how do I let them know, that I really really want to learn?Please no rude answers. Should i learn the drums or guitar?
1. I am a girl, not that that matters, who loves her music.2. i have trialled the drums for about 30 mins in total a few years back in school and apparently i was pretty good according to the music teacher, in the music class we all got to try drums.3. my friend said learn drums, he is a bassist, his mate a guitarist, and pretty much we need a drummer to start a band, and i have a perfect setup for drums.4. I REALLY LOVE THE GUITAR5. guitar you can learn more songs6. guitar is more portable, although i noticed my hands are too small for guitar.7. i've tried guitar but wasnt overley good, but practise make perfect8. maybe i should just ask my musician friends.
Which instrument should i learn, the drum's or the guitar?
my dad said i can learn the drums or the electric guitar. I like the drums because it seems easier but i like the guitar cuz u can play at school there is a day called music sharing day in out school and we play an instrument in fromt of our class but drums, u can't bring a drum kit 2 school so.... any suggestions and good reasons plz?
Is it too late for me to start learning the drums?
I'm 18....and I know " it's never too late" to try anything but realistically, if I practiced incessantly every day how long could it take to get decent? Just a ball park estimate? It seems kind of daunting to start something new at this age since most musicians start playing when they're like 5 haha

I've got no teacher, no real set, no notes. Just a practice pad and a ton of sticks. My parents wont let me sign up for lessons on account of noise they're quiet folk , but I've got a ton of music to drum to and unlimited internet access for notes and stuff. How do I learn on my own? Girl learning the drums at 21?
I had a pretty rough year I was sick.most of it ..went thru a break up..and lost all my friends I have no job right now..looking tho...plannimg to go to school in a couple, of weeks I dealt with depresioon my whole life so thinlk having this hobby will. Change me and actailly b happy...????

Ok I'm 15 and I can play the trumpet and learning the Alto sax... but I feel that they are too " nerdy" and am keen on learning the drums What are the basics on learning the drums? Just give me general info... Is it fun? how long would it take to be able to play simple songs? etcThanks so much
Learning the drums, what do you think?
So I was thinking of starting playing the drums.. and I was talking to my friend on how much I should play per day etc.I said that If I wanna become good at it at a good time, I should practice everyday for maybe an hour or so, but he tells me to practice get a drum set etc over the summer break and practice over the summer and he saids " well if u play everyday of every hour of drums over summeri bet you can cram a year of drumming over the summer" What do you think of this? I don't think so P What do you guys think?

Hi, so I have been playing the trombone for five years now and not to sound cocky but I am pretty good on the trombone for my age and the amount of time I've been playing. I have a teacher and with his help I quickly learn music and I make a lot of bands such as first in jazz second t bone fourth place for an elite band etc. So, me and my sister and our friend are looking to start a band. Our friend already plays bass and we have all our stuff ready except...my sister doesn't play guitar yet and i don't play drums yet... So we are looking for lessons at like two or three places and I'm going to push to get the lessons before January ends. We want to have a fund raiser concert at our school for like the second to last day of school which would be Friday June, 15 yea, we get out on a monday... weird So I had to things two ask 1. How do you learn songs on the drums? Do you play by ear or do you have to purchase music like you do for trombone2. Do you think I would be able to learn 15 songs if I put my undivided attention into learning all the songs with constant practice? Cause remember, I learn quickly with a teacher...
